ATCB℠ Board of Directors Nomination Application

The ATCB℠ appreciates your interest in serving on its Board of Directors and your willingness to support our mission of protecting the public by promoting the competent and ethical practice of art therapy through the credentialing of art therapy professionals.

As you consider your responses to the following questions, please keep in mind that the ATCB Board of Directors is a policy- and strategy-focused governing board. Directors provide organizational oversight, establish strategic direction and policy, exercise fiduciary responsibilities, and help ensure that ATCB continues to fulfill its public-protection mission.

Directors are expected to:

• Attend one in-person Board meeting annually and participate in quarterly virtual Board meetings;
• Serve as a chair, member, or Board liaison to an ATCB committee or task force, as assigned;
• Review materials and prepare in advance for Board meetings and decisions;
• Participate actively and thoughtfully in Board discussions and governance activities; and
• Collaborate with fellow Directors and complete Board work through ATCB’s online governance and project-management platforms.

Board service provides an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the future of ATCB, strengthen credentialing and public protection, and participate in strategic decisions affecting the organization and the profession.
