Volunteer with ATCB

ATCB℠ relies on a wide range of perspectives across its volunteer roles — SME and Taskforce alike — to keep standards and exams grounded in what the profession actually looks like today, not just one type of practice or career stage.

SME (Subject Matter Expert) opportunities are open to Board Certified Registered Art Therapists℠ (ATR-BC®) at every experience level. Not yet board certified? ATCB’s® Taskforces are open more broadly, including Provisional Registered Art Therapists® (ATR-P®) and Registered Art Therapists℠ (ATR℠).

The ATCBE® is reviewed annually and rely on input from experienced practitioners in the profession to maintain valid, up-to-date source material. Success of subject matter contributions will depend on the active participation of art therapists from a wide range of practice settings, at different career stages, and from across the country. Please know not everyone expressing interest will be invited to participate but the more people who volunteer will allow selections to be made to balance the representation of art therapists.
