Art Therapy Certified Supervisor (ATCS)
The Art Therapy Certified Supervisor (ATCS) is a credential offered to Board Certified Art Therapists (ATR-BCs) who have substantial supervision qualifications.
The ATCS credential informs employers, prospective employers, supervises, and prospective supervisees that you have met specific criteria for competency in the theories and practices of art therapy supervision.
You may pursue ATCS through one of two tracks: Education-based or Experience-based. Both involve a combination of education, endorsement, supervision experience, and a professional disclosure statement. See the ATCS Application Handbook for specific requirements.
Once the ATCS credential is earned, you must maintain the ATR-BC in good standing, complete supervision courses as part of your continuing education, and re-certify every five years. Learn more about maintenance and recertification here.
